A gift that gives you peace of mind
Leona Hansen found a way to make her money work for her in an uncertain economy-while supporting an organization whose mission she embraces: a charitable gift annuity.
"Now is exactly the right time to support Ebenezer's mission with a charitable gift annuity," says Leona Hensen. "The market is so unstable that the guaranteed income gives you peace of mind." Leona believes so strongly in the mission of Ebenezer that she has also included a provision in her will to support the future needs of low income seniors.
A charitable gift annuity is a gift to an organization like Ebenezer in return for a fixed income for life. The donor not only receives worry-free income during his/her lifetime (some of which may be tax-free), but is also entitled to an income tax deduction when the gift is made. Ebenezer benefits by being able to use the gift to support its mission upon the donor's passing.
Is a charitable gift annuity right for you? It may be if you're at least 60, have a minimum of $10,000 to contribute and are looking for a simple lifetime payment for yourself or a loved one, generous tax savings and the satisfaction of knowing you are supporting the great work of Fairview and/or Ebenezer.
